Welcome to the Trades persons homepage on Compare A Trader. From here you can either sign in if you are a returning subscriber or register your business with us. Below is a list of reasons why you should become a member of our service: 

 

  1. Flat Fee – Subscriptions start from £100 per annum (incl. VAT) for a 5 mile radius advertising area, up to £150 per annum (incl. VAT) for a 25 mile radius advertising area – these plans are all available for you online now. For larger bespoke areas please email your inquiry to info@compareatrader.com for a customised quotation.

  1. No additional fees – There are no additional charges for quoting on jobs or any commission payable on any work done.

  1. Unique advertising area - Subscription rates are proportional to the size of the advertising area required. The categories & services offered (please click here for the list of available categories & services) & the centre of the advertising area are chosen by the subscriber and can be changed free of charge at any time by the subscriber (providing the advertising area and number of categories remain the same - no additional charge will be made).

  1. Search results – Only customers inside your advertising area will be shown your listing when they conduct an appropriate search. These search results will be displayed in a random order.

  1. Company listing – This page will include your businesses contact information, links to your website, services offered, customer feedback, affiliations of professional bodies, picture portfolio, hours of business and much more.

  1. Targeting clientele – Subscribers can decide who sees their listing – domestic and/or commercial customers who are looking for either emergency or maintenance contractors.

  1. Urgent listings – For a small additional charge (£10:00), any member in a category can list their business in our Urgent listings search, which is designed to be used by trades people who have 24 hour a day callouts or extended hours of business.

  1. Feedback – Your customers are encouraged to leave feedback. All subscribers have to approve feedback prior to publication on this site and the more feedback published the greater the discount which will be applied at the subscriber’s annual renewal.

  1. Business cards & Free feedback cards – All subscription plans will receive a fixed number of free feedback cards (the minimum being 25 feedback cards, the quantity of free feedback cards increases with our larger plans). As a member you can make use of our Business card design, the design of which is free, and they will be printed & delivered to you at competitive prices.

  1. Referral scheme – Any existing subscriber will receive a referral fee when they introduce a new subscriber to this site.

  1. Additional advertising - In selected areas we also design, publish and distribute our quarterly publication entitled "The Know Who directory" on behalf of our members. This publication is only availble to members of Compare A Trader.com, and is exclusively composed of only tradesmen. It is distributed to bewteen 10,000 - 25,000 properties within a specific area (this service is NOT included in your membership fee and is subject to an additional charge).
